1: Check your computer’s network adapter IP address, using Windows 10 Professional as an example
Method 1: Open Settings – Open Network & Internet – Select WLAN – Click the WiFi name and scroll down to view this device’s IP address
Method 2: Press the “Win+R” key combination on the desktop – Enter “CMD” – Then press Enter
Enter this command: “ipconfig/all” – Then press Enter
Until this page appears
You can see that your network adapter IP address is: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX (preferred). Please remember this IP address.
2: Lantern:
1: Right-click lantern – Properties
At the end of Target (T)|: lantern.exe, add: -addr
XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:8787, then click Apply. The configuration is now complete, and your computer is now equivalent to a small server.
Turn on the computer’s mobile hotspot
Restart the Lantern program, turn on your phone’s WiFi and connect to this mobile hotspot. On your iOS/Android phone, enter the password, go to Advanced settings, Proxy, Manual, Proxy server: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:8787, then save.
After your phone is set up successfully, you can now fully enjoy anonymous high-speed web surfing!
[Note]: Lantern must remain running on the PC, otherwise it will not work properly. Switch to English input to avoid errors. If the computer and phone are on the same WiFi router, you can use the Lantern route as described above without turning on the computer’s hotspot. If you no longer want to keep using the Lantern route, simply delete the configuration made for the phone’s WiFi to restore normal settings.
Thank you for your appreciation and support!
